The Nvidia RTX 4090 has been officially been unveiled, and will be available to buy from October 12 2022. Nvidia claims the RTX 4090 is between 2x and 4x faster than the existing RTX 3090Ti, making it the most powerful consumer graphics card that Nvidia has to offer. It has a staring price of ₹1,55,000. The RTX 4090 has the new Lovelace architecture from Nvidia, Which uses a 4nm TSMC process node and 76 billion transistors.

Both the RTX 4090 and RTX 3090 feature 24GB GDDR6X of memory, so there’s no upgrade here. Nvidia claims its new card is between 2x and 4x faster than the Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti, with the extent of the performance uplift depending on the game. That’s an incredible achievement when you consider the RTX 3090 Ti is currently the absolute fastest consumer graphics card currently available. Having such a significant performance boost has its disadvantage, Nvidia has confirmed that RTX 4090 has a graphics card power of 450W, which is 100W more than the previous RTX 3090. It means the power consumption is significantly more.
